This is great! Been looking for a bunch of different stitches to try out! Can't wait to try it!

I do have one question though (being a visual person myself), how would you go about doing this type of stitch for a blanket/afghan?

  3. Lana Sajaja says:

THIS is awesome.  I want to collect more crochet post patterns so I can make an aran sweater someday.  By the way, orange was my favorite color waaaay back in grade 2.  I find that I still love orange.

  12. Angie G says:

Thanl you for the video! Easy to follow but I was wondering if I could do this with a half double crochet instead? Would I then use a double crochet for the cable? Thank you!

  13. Yarn Obsession says:

Hi Karen, Thanks for your observation but I haven't found that to be the case in my crochet. I'm not sure why, but when I skip a stitch, I usually find that's when I get holes at the end of the work and I come up one short. . . I'll look into it again.

  14. Karen Favreau says:

Hi Sedruola, good tutorial! Just one observation…when you are at the end of the row, and turn, then chain 2 or 3, that chain takes the place of a double crochet…so crochet into the 2nd double (or triple) crochet, not the first, cause you inevitably create another stitch if you dc into the first dc then count the chain as well.
