PressPlay Video Sales Page Demonstration

PressPlay Video Sales Page Demonstration

Today we’re looking at a Video Landing page that I just created using PressPlay.

So what is PressPlay? Well PressPlay is brand new software application created by Mark Thompson and Matt Callen that makes it easy to create stunning video landing pages with little or no skills and in no time at all. In fact, the page you’re about to see was created in under 10 minutes…

Two quick disclaimers here…

The page I created was designed to show the advanced functionality of the PressPlay, it’s not necessarily how I would create an actual sales page…

And number two, PressPlay isn’t actually available yet, Mark Thompson was kind enough to give me access to the application so I could review it. You’ll have to wait until September 9th to get your copy…

Anyway, on with a walkthrough…

Up top you can see the headline and sub headline. I chose to use text, I could have uploaded a header graphic and used that either instead of the headline or along with it.

Next we have the video itself. I’m using a popular youtube video, if this were an actutal sales page, I obviously would have used a video that I created specifically for the product I was promoting.

Oh and by the way, the video doesn’t have to be a youtube video either, you can use a video that is hosted on your own website or an Amazon s3 account.

The player I’m using looks like an Ipad, there are a bunch of options to choose from in the application, I could have used a whiteboard or an iphone or even a player that looks like an Imac.

Now since this application is designed to create video landing pages there are a lot of advanced features built around the video, the first is going to happen at the 5 second mark in the video…

See how that “Buy Now” button just popped up?

That’s a very powerful sales technique that Ryan Diess has been using for several years. The way Ryan uses this is he has the buy button pop up at the same time as he is giving his call to action in the video. This is a proven way to increase conversions.

The problem is, until now, it was difficult to add that functionality to your sales page. It required adding scripting to your page, then tweaking it until the button pops up at exactly the right time. With PressPlay, you simply specify the number of seconds into the video to pop the buy button and it happens at exactly the right time. Very Powerful!

Also, as you can see, the video stops playing at the same time as the buy button pops, that pattern interrupt, forces the visitor to take some action to continue.

Next we have the optin overlay. This is a great way to get optins to your list. The form appears right over the video – and again stops the video from playing – the visitor is forced to do something to get the video to continue.. And you see that “Skip” button, that’s optional. You can remove that link to force your visitor to optin to see the rest of the video…

This is great for training videos, start the video, get them hooked and require the optin to continue…

Now, we have the Facebook Share button – once again it appears as on overlay right on the video and again, that “skip” link is optional so you can remove it and force your visitor to share your page on Facebook before they can continue…

Finally, we have a “Call to action” overlay that once again stops the video and requires an action on the visitors part.

Now as I said earlier, I wouldn’t necessarily use all of these features right on top of each other, in a real Video Landing Page I would have considered the content and used these techniques a little more strategically. But for this demonstration, I wanted to give you a good understanding of what is available.

In my next video I’m going to show you the back end of PressPlay and walk you through creating a feature rich Video Landing page in minutes.

But first, I want you to click the link below this video and check out the PressPlay page, if you’re viewing this video before September 9, 2014 -then you’re going to want to opt in to receive product updates. Here’s the rub, during the launch, PressPlay is being offered as a one-off service – you can own lifetime rights to the software for one price.

After the launch, it’s going to become a monthly service so you’ll want to buy it right away to get the biggest bang for your buck. That’s why you’ll want to opt in to receive the product updates, so you don’t miss out and wind up paying a lot more for the software then you should.

Anyway, Watch for my next video where I’ll walk you through the process of creating an actual Video Landing Page.
